Your device name identifies your device. Tech Services might ask for your computer name to help with troubleshooting.

Follow the steps for your computer's operating system to find your computer name.

 

Windows

WINDOWS 11

Your computer name appears at the top of the System window.

• Select Start  > Settings  > System.

WINDOWS 10

Your computer name appears under Device specifications.

• Select Start  > Settings  > System > About.

 

Mac

MACOS VENTURA OR LATER

Your computer name appears at the top of the About window.

• On the Apple menu , select System Settings > General > About.

MACOS MONTEREY OR EARLIER

Your computer name appears at the top of the Sharing window.

• On the Apple menu , select System Preferences > Sharing.

 

Chromebook

Your computer name appears in your About Chrome OS window.

• Open Chrome, click the three dots in the upper right-hand corner of the window, and select Settings in the drop-down menu.
• Scroll to the bottom right of the Advanced section, and select About Chrome OS.

 

iPhone/iPad

Your computer name appears in the top of the About window.

• Open the Settings app, tap General, and tap About.

 

Android

Your computer name appears in the top of the About Phone window.

• Open the Settings app and tap About Phone.
